Berwick fuzz

I don't know why, but the police in Berwick (the pretend one not the real one) look very similar to fingermen from V for Vendetta, dual purpose? that would require more thinking than I'm used too. ;-)

The Berwick security force also has more heavily armed troopers for defending the local area. I'm trying to find a camo scheme I like for them, at the moment the Russian Omon's is the front runner

Another Humvee

So today I planned to start a conversion that's been in mind for a while, also start work on a RIB and maybe finish painting some terrain.

Onee of the colours was swapped to create a better contrast, so of course you can't see it very well in the photo.

Tank!!

3 updates in one month, I may need a lie down after this.

The PFJ have aquired some heavy support in the shape of a slightly used T55, it kind of worries me that I've now got 3 times as many painted vehicles (three) as figures (one, even if you add the tank commander as a second figure it still looks bad) for the PFJ, the troops may have to go beyond the sprayed black and put on shelf stage.

Background WOO!!!!

Added a page to my site that provides a lot of the background in one place rather than wandering round in my head. So now I can be accuratly wrong when explaining stuff.

more painted, shocking

First off we have a scorpion CVR(t) that I got at Partizan, not the one that's just been, the one in may, that's actually a fast turn around for me. It's part of the Yeomanry for reasons that will be explained, when I finish typing it all up.

Then we have the generic landing craft, attached to the third inshore squadron. Lots of pictures for this one.

Chap for scale.

Door up.

And another one painted in other colours.

Civies

Even the gentry need to be armed these days, this is of course Toad from the windy chaps, available from mutton chop miniatures, so now there's more than just cows to get in the way. Still working on the other 3 in the set as I can't decide what colours to use for them.

Also a skip, just because

naval chap

One of the combat stress charity figures, figured it was about time I shoved some paint on it.

Another ship

This might take a bit longer and I've even less idea what I'll do with it, but it keeps me occupied.

Kitchen-ness

Distractable, that's what I am, though these are terrain-ish

Some random kitchen bits with Akky's domestic goddess for an idea of scale, though if you don't know how big it is then tough, counter uses fenris first aid cabinets and the fridge freezer thing is two seperate bits but placed like that to hide the fact they're different heights.

Berwick humvee

Yet another faction, the forces of the independant Berwick, well a vehicle for them. The camo scheme is inspired by the Berlin brigade urban scheme, was a silly ideabut looks good.

Lady in a dress

Continuing the at random series of figures I've painted that might fit into this we present a lady wearing a dress, base still needs sorting, 'cause I can't decide how to finish it and also I now remember why I don't usually paint eyes.

More Police

Well a conversion anyway, my inability to get good photos has kicked in, so this is the best you get for now. Origional figure was the officer nick from hasslefrassle.

Paint

Quick update, can't decide how much weathering to do though.

Tuesday, 17 May 2011

Landing of craft

These are some of the first casts of me landing craft, it's using a lot more resin than expected, remembered after doing this there's some slate filler I was going to experiment with, will try that for the third one which will probably be the last till I get more resin, anyhow pictures.

Saturday, 7 May 2011

more landing craft

The ramp is asdone as it's gonna get, I was gonna add some detail to the front but decided not too, this is subject to mind being changed.

And this is where the driver is going to sit.

Though to add some variety (or if the mould doesn't work properly) there's also an armoured steering position... thing.

Landing craft

Well the madness is kicking in again, of course I need something for the patrol boat to escort, good enough reason.

So you can see the size of the tank deck I've stuck a 1/56 Chieftain in it, hopefully it can hold 18-20 nish 28mm figures when done.

And here's a random picture of the toy that set me off on this one.

Battle taxis

Well these have been sat on my desk for nearly a year and finally they're painted, first off is a bit of transport for the PFJ.

And A saxon for the Borderers to poottle about in, as a warning though, if you get this kit the suspension is an absolute mare to put together, could just be I'm cackhanded though.

So why was I painting these, well, it was to fill some time while waiting for glue to dry. Yup the madness has kicked in again and I'm scratchbuilding, pictires to follow, probably.

Kings own scottish borderers

First of the scottish regulars, using the reasoning that the auld alliance is still going, so that's why I've used the eureka foreign legion.

Lord Cirencester

Not entirely relevant to this project but he could be a visiting staff officer, but mostly this was the free figure from albinach sculpted by paul hicks and painted by, erm, me.
