Well I managed to get my army painted, just about for the deadline, but either way here's all 970 ( I think) points worth. First thought is needs more vehicles.

More marines
First up we have a Lieutenant who doubles up as a company champion as well as army commander, the hammer just seemed right for Salamanders and is either a power weapon or paragon blade.
Next up is a converted squad of recon marines, made just because I liked the idea.
And finally some bish boshed barbed wire sections, sort of test pieces, might make some more, might not.

Rhino
Work and the weather has conspired against me but I've actually got something painted. The photos made it look brighter than it is and I've got some other things undercoated today so hopefully, more will get done.

Wombling through space
Well the techmarine has his tarantula finally, there's a Lt commander who's had an accident and been stuck in a dreadnought and to finish off the first tactical squad. So I'm getting close to a legal army, maybe by this time next month, we'll see.

Salamanders
Well another post another project, this one is a group project though. Pre-heresy 40k, well that's the plan, though my own force is going to be old beaky marines painted in the old Salamanders colour scheme.
This is the test piece to see if it works and is also a pain in the butt to photograph.
This is the techmarine crewman for my tarantula, when I get it painted, the only problem now is finding enough of the old marines

The white-ish knights.
More progress, I think the army would be about 1300 points under warhammer rules at the moment, though some of the units would be bare minimum size. Guess I just need to buy some more figures.
Anyway what we have is some horsemen.
Horse archers
Heavily armoured skellies, the mantic tomb/grave guard equivalents
tomb guard for me, rules wise anyway.
And the biggy, sort of, a converted war sphinx thing.
There would of been a unit of archers but it started raining before I could get out to spray them.

Building stuff
Slowly building skellies and just to prove something is happening, here's my khemrian warsphinx with some other stuff in the background.

Army of darkness
Well, it looks like I can be bothered to paint, alright dip, an army. Strangely it's building it that seems to be driving me up the wall.

Dipping skeletons
While not totally relevant to the blog it is gaming related so good enough for me :-P
I'm experimenting with dipping to see if I could manage to do an entire army this way and just to see what it's like in general. the 3 on the right were dunked in the tin and the 3 on the right had the stuff brushed on. Definatly think the brush is the way to go though I still need to learn to put less on, sort of.
Anyways the point is I might just buy some skellies and get dipping. Oh and the figures are the old games workshop skellies from 20 odd years ago, built and shoved in a draw till now, apart from the one in the middle who's an old metal fella.

Progress-ish
Finally got inspired to do some more work on this, not much, but better than the bugger all that had been done.

Tug boat.
First post of the year, pretty bad really. I have been working on things but the low attention span means I'm bad at finishing anything. Anyway on to the point, I've started yet another vessel. This is going to be a tug, but with some sort of planning I'm hoping the hull will be usable for other small ships, who knows it might even work.
